The USP40 V1 setup delivers the traditional HK DA/SA system with an exposed hammer and a left-side safety/decocker. The paddle-style magazine release allows ambidextrous operation without shifting grip. Its short-recoil, locked-breech action is the standard USP operating system.
The 4.25 in barrel is cold-hammer-forged with polygonal rifling, a hallmark of HK service pistols. This construction is known for durability and a smooth internal finish. Capacity is 10+1 with the included magazines.
The slide wears HK’s Hostile Environment matte black finish and features rear serrations for positive manipulation. Sights are fixed three-dot units set in dovetails, providing a clean, snag-resistant profile.
The black polymer frame incorporates textured grip panels with the molded "USP" logo and a lanyard slot. A proprietary HK Universal accessory rail is molded into the dust cover for mounting compatible accessories.
Manufactured in Germany, this pistol bears DE/Ulm proof marks and the "BC" (2012) date code, with import markings from HKI – Columbus, GA and "HK Sidearms GmbH – Made in Germany." Major components have matching serials, aligning with HK factory practice.
