Smith & Wesson's M&P FPC is a U.S.-made, 9mm folding pistol-caliber carbine introduced in 2023. Its lateral-folding forward assembly reduces the stowed length to about 16 3/8 in while maintaining a top Picatinny rail along the handguard. This example includes three 21-round magazines and a soft case, pairing practical capacity with a compact, storage-friendly design.

The M&P FPC uses a straight blowback action with right-side ejection and a cross-bolt safety. It accepts double-stack M&P 9 pistol magazines, and this rifle ships with three 21-round mags for a 21+1 capacity when one is chambered.
The 16.25 in barrel is 4140 steel and factory threaded 1/2x28 TPI with a thread protector. Model and caliber markings are present on the barrel, bolt, and handguard.
A free-float M-LOK handguard with a full-length top Picatinny rail provides mounting space along the forend. The receiver is aluminum with a black finish; the frame is polymer in black.
The fixed polymer stock integrates dual spare-mag carriers with quick-release tabs, and the length of pull is 15.0 in. Unloaded weight is approximately 5.03 lb. MSRP is listed at $659.
