Built on the full-size 1911 platform, the GSG-1911 brings rimfire economy to a familiar control layout. It uses a simple blowback, single-action-only system and holds 10+1 rounds of .22 LR. The Government-length 5 inch steel barrel, aluminum frame, and zinc-alloy slide are finished in matte black and paired with double-diamond checkered wood grips for a classic look with durable materials.
The barrel is factory threaded M9x0.75 and fitted with a knurled thread protector; a barrel thread adapter is installed from the factory. The sighting system uses a yellow 3-dot set with a screw-adjustable dovetailed rear and an interchangeable-height front sight. The slide has rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation.
Controls and safeties are 1911-correct with modern enhancements: an ambidextrous thumb safety, grip safety, firing pin safety, and an extended beavertail grip safety. A skeletonized 3-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer round out the handling features specified for this model.
Markings include cal. .22LR HV, GSG and ATI logos, and MADE IN GERMANY, with DE CIP N proof and a BH date code. This 2017 ATI-imported example measures approximately 8.6 inches in overall length and weighs about 34.4 ounces empty, offering a balanced rimfire trainer with authentic 1911 ergonomics.
