Built on a steel, top-break frame, this revolver uses an automatic star extractor to simultaneously lift empties when the latch is opened. The six-shot fluted cylinder, single-action operation, and frame-mounted firing pin follow the established Model 3 Russian pattern for reliable function and period-correct handling.
The 6.5 inch steel barrel has a full-length rib and integral underlug. Fixed sights consist of a half-moon front blade and a rear notch integral to the top latch, providing a clean, traditional sight picture. The barrel is marked "CAL. 44 S&W RUSSIAN."
External features include a blued barrel and cylinder, a color-case-hardened steel frame and trigger guard, smooth walnut grips, and a Russian-pattern trigger-guard finger spur for added control. The hammer and top latch display color-case hardening, and a lanyard ring is mounted at the butt.
Markings and proofs are clear and correct for an Italian-made reproduction. The rib is marked "TAYLOR'S & CO WINCHESTER VA – A. UBERTI/ITALY," and the revolver bears Italian proof marks including the CIP "N" nitro designation.
