The Remington Versa Max Competition Tactical brings practical competition features to a proven gas-operated platform. This 12 gauge variant uses the VersaPort self-regulating gas system, pairs a 22-inch vent-rib barrel with a ProBore Skeet choke installed, and runs an 8+1 carbon-fiber–sleeved extended magazine. It adds oversized controls, a drilled-and-tapped receiver, and an OD-green aluminum receiver with black synthetic furniture.

This Competition Tactical configuration is a 12 gauge, gas-operated semi-auto built around Remington's VersaPort self-regulating gas system, designed to run 2 3/4- and 3-inch shells. It features a 22-inch steel vent-rib barrel with ProBore threading and a ProBore Skeet choke installed. The fiber-optic front bead provides a bright, quick reference on the rib.
Capacity is set at 8+1 with a carbon-fiber–sleeved extended magazine tube. Controls include an oversized, knurled charging handle and an oversized bolt-release control at the ejection port, along with a cross-bolt safety.
The shotgun uses a black synthetic fixed stock with a Remington SuperCell recoil pad and a matching black synthetic forend with molded texturing. Length of pull is 14.0 inches. The receiver is an aluminum alloy finished in matte OD green for a durable, distinctive look.
The receiver top is drilled and tapped with filler screws installed, and a separate receiver Picatinny rail is included. The ProBore choke system on this gun is complemented by three additional extended tubes (IC, Light Modified, and Modified) and a ProBore wrench. A magazine/barrel clamp with sling-swivel stud, an extra carbon-fiber extension section, and a separate polymer handguard piece are also included. Made in the United States.
