This Camp Carbine uses a simple, reliable direct-blowback action with right-side ejection, chambered in .45 ACP. The 16.5 in blued steel barrel employs Marlin's Micro-Groove rifling, and the aluminum-alloy receiver wears a matte black finish for a cohesive look. A black synthetic trigger guard and magazine housing complement the hardwood stock with a walnut finish.
The carbine accepts Colt 1911-pattern single-stack magazines, offering broad magazine compatibility. It comes with both a 7-round standard magazine and a 15-round extended magazine, with a stated maximum capacity of 15+1.
Sighting is straightforward and effective: a ramp front sight with an orange insert pairs with an adjustable folding rear leaf equipped with an elevator. The receiver is factory drilled and tapped for scope bases with two top holes, giving installation points for bases if desired.
Handling features include a 14.0 in length of pull, an overall length of approximately 35.5 in, and a weight of about 6.75 lb. Safety and control features include a manual bolt hold-open, automatic last-shot hold-open, a magazine disconnect, and a loaded chamber indicator.
