The P-09 is a full-size, hammer-fired duty pistol built around CZ's Omega DA/SA trigger system. The Omega design is convertible between a manual safety and a decocker, and this pistol uses ambidextrous frame-mounted control levers for intuitive operation. The curved trigger and external spurred hammer provide a familiar DA/SA interface.
The 4.53 in steel barrel is standard, non-threaded. The slide and barrel wear a durable black nitride finish, with front and rear slide serrations and a beveled nose to aid manipulation and holstering. Fixed luminescent 3-dot sights are installed, with a white dot front and a standard-height rear notch.
Capacity is 19+1 in 9mm Luger, and this example includes two 19-round steel magazines equipped with red followers. The polymer frame is finished in black and features molded stippling with CZ medallions, interchangeable backstraps for fit tuning, and a lanyard loop at the heel.
Markings are clear and correct, including Czech C.I.P. proof marks (lion crest over 'N') with an adjacent '21' indicating the 2021 proof year, plus the CZ-USA, Kansas City, KS import mark. An integral 1913 Picatinny accessory rail with multiple cross-slots is molded into the dustcover for mounting compatible lights or accessories. Matching serial numbers appear on the slide, barrel, and frame.
