Purpose-built for modern rimfire use, the 502 Tactical employs a steel, cold hammer forged 4.6 in barrel with a recessed crown and 1/2x28 threads. The suppressor-height iron sights clear mounted muzzle devices and are paired with an optics-cut slide and cover plate to support slide-mounted micro red dots that co-witness with the tall irons.
The pistol uses a semi-automatic, single-action-only, hammer-fired, blowback-operated system with an external rowel-style hammer. Controls are set up for versatility, including an ambidextrous magazine release and ambidextrous manual thumb safety. A loaded chamber indicator and a loaded-chamber viewing port enhance at-a-glance status checks.
Ergonomics mirror FN's duty-ready feel, with FN 509-style molded grip textures and FN medallions. Front and rear cocking serrations aid slide manipulation, and a three-slot accessory rail supports common weapon lights and accessories. Capacity is 15+1 with the included magazines.
