The P91DC configuration pairs a DA/SA, short-recoil, tilting-barrel system with a decock-only mechanism. Ambidextrous slide-mounted decockers and an ambidextrous push-button magazine release make it user-friendly for either hand, while the external, serrated-spur hammer provides positive control.
Its stainless slide uses a large ejection port for reliable clearance, and the matte gray hard-coat aluminum-alloy frame keeps weight manageable. The two-tone finish presents a clean, purposeful look, and an integral lanyard loop offers additional carry options.
Sights are fixed white-dot with a windage-adjustable, dovetailed rear and a fixed white-dot front sight. This setup delivers a clear sight picture with the option to fine-tune horizontal point of impact.
The Crimson Trace LG-389 lasergrips are installed, adding a grip-integrated laser aiming reference without altering the pistol's handling. Two 11-round steel magazines are included to match the factory 11+1 capacity.
Key dimensions include an approximate 4.5 in barrel, 7.75 in overall length, and about 32 oz unloaded. Built in the United States during the 1990s, the P91DC represents a distinct .40 S&W variant within Ruger's P-Series lineup.
