This CDS9 Classic balances micro dimensions with double-column capacity. The included magazines support up to 15+1 rounds, with an additional 13-round magazine for flexible carry and reload options.
The aluminum alloy frame keeps weight down while providing familiar 1911-style, single-action, hammer-fired operation. Controls include ambidextrous frame-mounted thumb safeties, and there is no grip safety. A flat-faced hinged trigger and a skeletonized rounded hammer with an extended beavertail complete the control setup.
Sighting is handled by TG-H3 tritium night sights: a high-visibility tritium front dot with an orange ring and a low-profile serrated tritium rear, designed for a clear, consistent sight picture in varied light. The slide uses front and rear grasping serrations and an external extractor.
This Classic configuration has no optic cut and a smooth dust cover without an accessory rail. Markings include "KIMBER TROY, AL USA" on the frame, "CDS9" on the frame, and "9MM" with Kimber script on the barrel hood. MSRP is listed at $795.
