Manufactured by Česká zbrojovka in Uherský Brod, this vzor 70 (CZ 70) continues the post-war CZ 50/70 lineage and saw service with Czechoslovak internal-security forces. This pistol was manufactured in 1972 and is marked accordingly with the Czechoslovak rampant-lion proof and adjacent two-digit year mark. It was imported with a C.A.I. GEORGIA VT import stamp.
The operating system is simple blowback with a fixed 3.5 in barrel, paired with DA/SA operation, a decocker, and a manual safety. It uses a single-stack 8+1 magazine, a heel-type magazine release, and the right-side disassembly button typical of the CZ 50/70 family. The ring hammer is consistent with the model’s period features.
Construction is all steel with a blued finish on the frame, receiver, and slide. The slide has vertical rear serrations and an anti-glare rib. Sights are fixed: a front blade and a rear square-notch. The black checkered plastic grips carry CZ monogram medallions.
This example is made in Czechoslovakia and shows matching serial numbers on the frame and barrel. It remains a compact, service-proven pattern that reflects its era and origin, and it comes with four 8-round magazines for immediate range or carry rotation.
