This Matador is a side-by-side boxlock with a top lever, break-action operation, and 2-round capacity. Controls are straightforward, with a single trigger and a manual tang safety that carries a gold-lettered "S." A single front bead on a solid rib provides a traditional sighting setup.
The 32 inch blued steel barrels are chambered for 12-76 (3 inch) Magnum loads. Both barrels are fixed at Full choke, with bore stamps of 17.3 and 17.4. The barrel set is weight-marked at 2070 g, and the flats are marked with the AyA logo.
The receiver is steel with a coin finish and factory scroll engraving, offering a clean, classic presentation. Spanish/Eibar proof marks are present, including the crowned shield with X, crossed-guns, BP in shield, CH in shield, and 900 Kgs, and it is marked Made in Spain.
The stock set is walnut with a pistol grip and a beavertail forend featuring a Deeley (Deeley & Edge) latch with a checkered lever. Cut checkering provides purchase, and a ventilated recoil pad with a white-line spacer sets the length of pull at 14.0 inches.
