The P30LS V3 is the long-slide configuration of HK's P30 series, chambered in .40 S&W with a 4.45 in barrel and 13+1 capacity. It uses a DA/SA, hammer-fired system with an exposed spur and an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, aligning with the V3 control setup.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the slide releases on both sides and the paddle-style magazine release at the trigger guard. A loaded-chamber viewport on the slide provides a quick visual status check.
The full-size polymer frame accepts interchangeable backstraps and side panels to tailor the grip. Fixed 3-dot sights (single-dot front, two-dot rear) provide a clear, straightforward sight picture. A four-slot accessory rail is integrated into the dustcover for light or accessory attachment.
Origin and markings are clear: German proof marks "DE" and "CIP N" are present, with "HKI - Columbus, GA" import marking. The slide, barrel, frame, and importer plate carry matching serial numbers, adding desirable uniformity for documentation and provenance.
