The Micro 9 is a single-action, hammer-fired, locked-breech, recoil-operated 9mm with left-side controls. It includes a manual thumb safety and a firing-pin block, and it does not have a grip safety. The external rowel-style hammer and pivoting single-action trigger support a crisp manual of arms.
