The Compact L Inox Type M9A1 configuration pairs the 92-series open-top slide and falling locking-block system with a compact 4.3-inch stainless barrel and a 13+1 capacity. The DA/SA action, external spurred hammer, and ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker combine familiar 92FS operation with compact dimensions.
Construction features include a stainless (Inox) slide and barrel over a light-colored Inox-anodized aluminum alloy frame. Controls are finished in black and set off the black checkered polymer grips with Beretta medallions. An automatic firing pin block is integrated for added safety.
Sight configuration is a fixed 3-dot system with an integral front ramp and a drift-adjustable rear. The frame incorporates a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail with a single cross-slot in the M9A1 style, and a lanyard loop is located at the rear of the grip.
Factory markings are present and clear: the right slide reads "MOD. 92FS COMPACT L – CAL. 9mm Parabellum – PATENTED." The left slide is marked "BERETTA U.S.A. CORP. ACKK., MD – MADE IN USA" with the PB oval logo.
The frame is marked "Type M9A1," and the barrel is marked "STAINLESS."
The pistol is chambered in 9mm Luger with a factory-rated 13+1 capacity. Two steel double-stack 13-round magazines are included, along with the original Beretta hard case and owner's manual.
