Product Description

    1977 Marlin Model 336 .30-30 Lever-Action Carbine, 20-inch, Micro-Groove, Pine Ridge 3-9x40 Scope

Built in 1977 in North Haven, Connecticut, this Marlin Model 336 is a classic .30-30 carbine with a 20-inch barrel and Micro-Groove rifling rollmark. It retains the period-correct features including a side-ejecting, solid-top receiver with no cross-bolt safety, a gold-colored trigger, and an in-the-white bolt. A Pine Ridge 3-9x40 scope with duplex reticle is mounted on a receiver base, and the factory open sights remain installed.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: The rifle is in solid shape with minor scratches and blemishes from prior use. Small, scattered deposits of pitting are present on various exterior surfaces.

    What’s Included

    • Pine Ridge 3-9x40 scope with duplex reticle (mounted in rings)
    • Scope rings (installed)
    • Receiver scope base (installed)

This Model 336 features the well-known side-ejecting, solid-top receiver and a full-length tubular magazine. The carbine configuration uses a 20-inch barrel secured by two barrel bands and offers a factory 6-round magazine capacity typical for this setup, with a listed capacity of 6+1.

The carbon steel barrel is rollmarked for Micro-Groove rifling, paired with carbon steel receiver construction in a blued finish. The bore condition is noted as clean with well-defined rifling. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and the serial number is stamped on the upper tang.

Sighting equipment includes a ramped blade front and a semi-buckhorn elevator rear. The rifle comes outfitted with a Pine Ridge 3-9x40 scope and duplex reticle mounted to a receiver base, while the open sights remain in place for flexibility.

Stock furniture is wood with a pistol-grip profile, an uncheckered fore-end, a black hard-plastic buttplate, and a white line spacer. Additional period details include the gold-colored trigger and in-the-white bolt. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
