The long-slide configuration pairs a 5.6 in ported stainless steel barrel with a matching ported slide to help manage 10mm recoil and muzzle rise. The slide carries forward and rear cocking serrations, lightening/vent windows, and Armornite over stainless construction. Factory markings include “M&P 10MM” and “Performance Center M2.0” with the PC medallion.
Sighting equipment consists of tall 3-dot night sights with a tall front white-dot blade and tall rear notch, providing clear sight alignment. The slide is optics-cut with a CORE-style interface, and this pistol includes an S&W CORE adapter plate to support mounting compatible optics.
The M2.0 polymer frame uses aggressive texturing and includes interchangeable palmswell backstraps for fit tuning. An accessory rail is molded into the dust cover for mounting lights. Overall dimensions are 8.6 in length, 5.6 in height, and 1.3 in width, with an unloaded weight of 31.4 oz.
Controls and safeties include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, ambidextrous slide stop, hinged trigger safety, and internal drop safety. A loaded-chamber viewport is present, and the pistol is marked “capable of firing with magazine removed.” The flat-faced, Performance Center–enhanced fire-control system is striker-fired and short-recoil operated. Capacity is 15+1, and two 15-round steel magazines are included.
