    What’s Included

    • Marlin Model 1894CP .357 Mag. lever-action rifle
    • Clamp-on, knurled hammer spur extension (installed)

The 1894CP stands out for its factory-ported 16 in carbon steel barrel and trapper-length configuration, delivering a handy, quick-pointing carbine profile. The full-length tubular magazine offers approximately 8+1 capacity in .357 Magnum, and the rollmark specifies compatibility with .38 Special.

Production markings show a North Haven, Connecticut barrel address from the pre-Remington era. The metal is finished in a traditional blued treatment over carbon steel, paired with a straight-grip walnut stock and matching walnut fore-end. Bordered diamond-pattern checkering, a steel fore-end cap, and a black-line recoil pad complete the classic Marlin style.

Sighting equipment includes a hooded ramp front and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with elevator. The receiver’s left side is drilled and tapped for a receiver peep sight, with two plugged holes in place, providing a ready foundation for that style of aperture sight if desired.

The carbine uses Marlin’s lever-action system with a cross-bolt safety. Ergonomics include a 13.5 in length of pull and sling-swivel studs for easy carry setup. An installed clamp-on, knurled hammer spur extension provides enhanced hammer access. Overall, it brings together compact dimensions, classic materials, and useful factory features in a well-configured 1894 variant.
