The NS8/NSC 8 configuration combines a 4 inch barrel with an 8-shot cylinder in .357 Magnum, offering a higher capacity within the classic Mongoose series. This example retains the model-defining features: full underlug with integral ejector-rod shroud, a serrated top rib, and an adjustable sighting system with a gold-bead front in a replaceable base and a fully adjustable rear.
Construction is all steel, with the frame, cylinder, and receiver components precisely machined and finished in a dark matte treatment. Factory wooden target-style grips with finger grooves provide a secure interface suited to deliberate double-action or single-action use.
Import marks read Nighthawk Custom, Berryville, AR USA, and the revolver carries German CIP/N proofs and Germany markings, confirming its proofed European manufacture and U.S. import path. Documentation and the Nighthawk test/inspection target are dated 8/15/2024, supporting its recent release and inspection.
This Mongoose shows matching serial numbers on the frame and cylinder; the crane/yoke is marked with an assembly/fit number. It is identified by mfg part number 60-490. The package is complete with factory literature, tools, and accessories as listed, aligning with a one-gunsmith build standard from billet steel.
