    What's Included

    • Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum Registered Magnum revolver

Produced in 1937, this example represents S&W's pre-war long-action lockwork on the N-frame, with a six-shot cylinder and square-butt configuration. It is part of a total run of approximately 5,400 Registered Magnums, with fewer than 1,000 made in the 6.5 inch barrel length.

The 6.5 inch carbon steel barrel has a hand-checkered and matted rib, paired with a pinned Patridge front sight and an S&W micrometer-adjustable rear sight. The sighting system is the classic adjustable iron setup favored on these early .357 Magnums.

The carbon steel frame wears a polished blue finish, complemented by a color-casehardened hammer and trigger. It retains pre-war details including the non-shrouded ejector rod with mushroom head and front locking boss, as well as the pre-war screw pattern with the screw ahead of the trigger guard.

Markings include the S.& W. .357 MAGNUM and SMITH & WESSON barrel rollmarks, the S&W trademark, and MADE IN U.S.A. The yoke cut shows the REG. marking for the registration number, and an assembly number is present. The cylinder face shows a matching serial, consistent with factory assembly.

Stocks are checkered walnut Magna-style grips with S&W medallions, completing the classic pre-war configuration. As an early .357 Magnum from the Registered Magnum program with the scarce 6.5 inch barrel, this revolver combines historical significance with distinctive pre-war features.
