What's Included
- Sako AV .270 Win bolt-action rifle
The AV is Sako's long-action sporting platform, and this example is chambered in .270 Winchester with a 19.3 in barrel and a 5-round internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate. The action includes integral tapered Sako dovetail scope bases machined into the receiver.
Factory iron sights are installed, with a ramped front post/blade and a Williams adjustable rear sight mounted on the barrel. This setup provides a clear sight picture while preserving the svelte profile of the rifle.
The walnut Monte Carlo stock is configured for right-handed use with a cheekpiece, hand checkering for grip, crossbolt reinforcement, and sling swivel studs. A Sako-branded orange rubber recoil pad with spacer complements the 14.0 in length of pull.
Controls and safety features include a two-position safety, a red fire indicator dot, and a hinged floorplate release. The receiver is steel, and the rifle carries Finnish lion proofs on both the barrel and receiver along with a Made in Finland marking, aligning with its 1980s era of manufacture.
