Built on the carbon-steel K-frame, this Model 19-3 is marked MOD. 19-3 on the yoke with barrel rollmarks reading SMITH & WESSON and S.&W. 357 MAGNUM. The round-butt frame and 2.5 in barrel create a compact Combat Magnum configuration from the early 1970s.
The barrel is pinned and fitted with a shrouded ejector rod. The top rib/topstrap is serrated to reduce glare. The revolver wears a polished blue finish over carbon steel, with a blued cylinder, and retains color-casehardening on the wide, checkered spur hammer and the grooved trigger.
Sight equipment includes an adjustable micrometer rear sight paired with a Baughman-style serrated ramp front sight. This setup is a hallmark of the period’s Combat Magnum configuration and supports precise zeroing.
This example is currently fitted with smooth, unbranded wooden grips without S&W medallions. Also included, but not installed, is a set of Hogue Monogrip rubber stocks sized for S&W K/L-frame round-butt guns.
