This Smith & Wesson Model 629-6 Performance Center Hunter is a purpose-built .44 Rem Magnum revolver with a 7.5-inch ported stainless barrel and N-frame stainless-steel construction. It is a Performance Center model with distinctive slab-sided shroud, full underlug with lightening window, and a four-screw top rib. The revolver is in excellent condition with a clean, mirror-bright bore and comes with its S&W Performance Center hard case and manual.

Built on the stainless-steel N-frame, this 629-6 Performance Center Hunter features a fluted six-shot cylinder and a long, heavy 7.5-inch barrel engineered for control and balance. The barrel assembly includes dual lateral muzzle ports, a slab-sided shroud, a full underlug with an elongated lightening cut, and a four-screw top rib.
Sighting is handled by an orange ramp front sight and a fully adjustable rear, paired with a grooved topstrap to reduce glare. The revolver retains a smooth-face trigger and an exposed, checkered hammer spur, with a checkered cylinder latch for positive manipulation.
The factory Hogue rubber Monogrip with finger grooves provides a secure hold for double-action/single-action shooting. An internal key lock is present as a safety feature.
Markings include “PERFORMANCE CENTER” on the left side of the barrel and “.44 MAGNUM” on the right. The yoke is stamped with the 629-6 engineering change, and the right-front frame bears the Springfield, MA, USA rollmark, noting U.S. manufacture.
