It ships with three 17-round magazines and the factory ammo-can style case, plus a Beretta wrap-around one-piece grip module.

Built on an aluminum-alloy frame with a full FDE finish, the M9A3 features the Vertec straight-backstrap geometry and thin Vertec grip panels for a streamlined in-hand feel. The frame includes a beavertail and a lanyard loop, with an integral MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail that provides three slots for mounting lights or other rail-mounted equipment.
The 5.12-inch steel barrel is extended and threaded, capped with a knurled thread protector. The slide is finished in FDE and uses the 92-series open-top design with a short-recoil locking-block operating system, rear cocking serrations, and dovetailed, replaceable front and rear sights. Markings include 'MOD. M9A3 – CAL. 9mm Para – PATENTED.' on the slide.
This pistol is a traditional DA/SA with an ambidextrous, slide-mounted safety/decocker featuring a red fire dot indicator. Fixed tritium three-dot sights are installed, with the front and rear both in dovetails; the rear sight is marked 'USA H3 16' as noted.
Capacity is 17+1 rounds, and this example includes three 17-round magazines. The frame is marked 'PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY' with the Beretta 'PB' logo, and it carries 'Made in Italy' and 'Beretta USA Corp. ACKK, MD' import markings.
