The yoke cut is marked 586-7, and the case end label lists 586 L-COMP with SKU 170170.

Built by the Smith & Wesson Performance Center, this L-Comp features a tuned action and smooth-face trigger in a double-action/single-action configuration. It is an L-frame, round-butt revolver with a 7-round .357 Magnum cylinder and an external hammer with a checkered spur.
The 3-inch barrel has a full underlug, an integral compensator, and porting. Sights are iron, with a pinned ramp front sight with dot and a fully adjustable rear sight, giving the revolver a clear, practical sight picture.
The cylinder is factory cut for 7-shot moon clips for quick loading. Construction is carbon steel with a flat blued finish, and the revolver includes an internal key lock safety feature. It is made in the United States.
Model markings include the yoke cut stamped 586-7. The case end label lists 586 L-COMP with a 3-inch barrel and SKU 170170. This example includes both rubber finger-groove grips with S&W medallions and an additional set of checkered rosewood stocks.
