Product Description

Winchester Model 94 Carbine .30-30 Lever-Action, 20 in Barrel, 1971 New Haven Production

This 1971 Winchester Model 94 Carbine in .30-30 is a classic top-eject lever-action built at Winchester’s New Haven, Connecticut facility. It features the traditional 20 in carbine barrel, a full-length tubular magazine, and straight-grip walnut furniture. The receiver’s left side is factory drilled and tapped for a receiver peep sight with plug screws in place, and the barrel carries the Winchester oval WP proof. The bore is clean and shiny, and the lever is a standard plain loop with no engraving.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.
Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The rifle shows numerous scratches and blemishes across the metal and wood. Small deposits of pitting are visible on various finished surfaces. The bore is clean and shiny. The lever is a standard plain loop with no engraving.

    What’s Included

    • Leather sling with detachable swivels

Built on the classic top-eject receiver with no cross-bolt or tang safety, this Model 94 retains the traditional right-side loading gate and exposed hammer. Its carbine configuration includes front and rear barrel bands and a full-length tubular magazine with a 6+1 capacity.

Sights are factory iron: a hooded ramp front sight paired with a semi-buckhorn rear sight with elevator. The left side of the receiver is drilled and tapped for a receiver peep sight, and the plug screws are currently installed.

The stock set is uncheckered walnut with a straight grip and a walnut carbine forend. It wears a checkered alloy shotgun-style metal buttplate and has a rear sling swivel stud. Length of pull measures 13.5 in.

Fit and finish details include a blued steel barrel and a black-finished receiver. The barrel bears the Winchester oval WP proof mark. This U.S.-made carbine was manufactured in 1971 at Winchester’s New Haven, Connecticut facility, with the serial number marking located on the bottom front of the receiver.
