The Super Duty SD-556 is built on an AR-15 platform with a direct impingement action and aluminum receivers finished in a desert-tone DDC-style anodizing. It features SUPER DUTY rollmarks, a forward assist, and an ejection port cover. Controls include an enlarged/extended bolt catch and a magazine release marked with the Geissele "G" logo.
The 10.3-inch barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and capped with a three-prong flash hider that has helical flutes. The muzzle is marked "5.56 1/2-28." This setup supports standard 5.56 NATO use with a compact overall length suited to AR pistols.
The free-float aluminum handguard uses the M-LOK interface for accessory mounting and carries a full-length, T-marked top Picatinny rail secured by twin clamp bolts. A DFCO polymer hand stop/short vertical grip is installed for added control.
Geissele's Airborne Charging Handle (PN 05-497) provides ambidextrous, low-snag operation, while the Geissele-marked bolt carrier group complements the Super Duty build. A DFCO polymer pistol grip with stippled panels and an SB Tactical adjustable brace with a hook-and-loop strap round out the furniture.
Magpul polymer folding backup iron sights are installed, and the pistol uses a manual safety. Capacity is 30+1 with the included SureFeed 30-round magazine. Made in the USA.
