The 22-inch sporter-profile barrel is carbon steel with a recessed crown and matte blued finish. It is unthreaded and cut with a 1:8 twist suited to a wide range of 6.5 Creedmoor bullet weights. The bore presents with sharp rifling and a clean, mirror-like surface, aligning with the overall light use indicated.
The action is a right-hand, two-lug bolt with a plunger ejector and sliding extractor, providing positive cycling with the included detachable box magazine. Capacity is 4+1. A non-AccuTrigger and a two-position tang safety keep the controls straightforward and familiar.
The receiver is carbon steel, matte blued, and drilled and tapped, with two-piece scope bases already installed. The mounted Weaver riflescope and rings are in place, and a Caldwell stud-mounted bipod is fitted to the forward sling stud for added stability at the bench or in the field.
The black synthetic stock keeps weight low at approximately 6.3 pounds and includes front and rear sling swivel studs. The stock carries molded AXIS and SAVAGE markings with the Savage "S" logo at the grip-cap area. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, overall length is about 42.5 inches, and the rifle is made in the USA.
