The A1-series updates include an enhanced ambidextrous control layout and a nickel-Teflon–coated trigger bar. The striker-fired system incorporates a trigger safety tab, a loaded-chamber viewport, and a striker status indicator for quick visual or tactile checks.
The slide is optics-ready from the factory, featuring an optics cut with a cover plate installed. Elevated iron sights use a tall post up front and a tall square-notch rear, and the slide wears front and rear serrations for confident manipulation.
Its 4.5 in cold hammer-forged barrel uses polygonal rifling, and this example’s bore condition is excellent. Capacity is 10+1 with the included factory magazines. A standard beveled magwell and the VP9 modular grip system with interchangeable backstraps and side panels support fast handling and a tailored fit.
Additional features include an integral 4-slot accessory rail on the dust cover and ambidextrous slide stop levers. The slide is marked "HK VP9F" and "9 mm x 19," and the pistol bears DE proof marks along with the HKI Columbus, GA import mark.
