This Weatherby Orion I Field is a 12 gauge over/under with 26-inch barrels, 3-inch chambers, and a matte blued steel receiver marked with the gold WEATHERBY logo. It features a mechanical single trigger with a tang safety that doubles as the barrel selector, and a walnut pistol-grip stock with neutral grip and neutral cast. The bores are excellent, and the gun presents in very good overall condition with only light handling marks. Installed flush chokes are Improved Cylinder in the top barrel and Modified in the bottom barrel.

Specific Condition Notes: The top lever rests right of center. Barrel fit is good. Ejectors are properly timed. The firing pins are in good condition. The metal and wood show minor, superficial scratches and small blemishes.
The bores are clean and shiny.

The Orion I Field is a Turkish-made, steel-receiver boxlock with 26-inch steel barrels, a ventilated rib, and a brass front bead. Its chambers are cut for 3-inch shells and also accept 2-3/4-inch loads. Capacity is two rounds. The barrels are threaded for Weatherby’s interchangeable flush choke system, with IC in the top tube and Modified in the bottom tube as installed.
The control layout is straightforward and field-ready. The tang safety also serves as the barrel selector, and the mechanical single trigger will fire the second barrel even if the first does not ignite. Ejectors are timed for positive case clearance. This example shows a top lever that sits right of center, a good indicator of solid lockup, with good barrel fit and firing pins noted in good condition.
Furniture is walnut with a pistol-grip stock and semi-beavertail forend, both checkered for secure handling. It wears a rubber recoil pad and provides a 14.5-inch length of pull. This stock is set up with a neutral grip and neutral cast to suit a wide range of shooters.
The matte blued finish on the steel receiver and barrels gives a low-glare profile, complemented by the gold WEATHERBY logo on the receiver. Sight alignment comes naturally via the vent rib and brass bead. The gun is marked with an AU serial prefix on the tang.
