The ZPAPM70 is built on a stamped-steel 1.5 mm receiver with an RPK-style bulged front trunnion and standard AK-pattern rivet layout. It retains the smooth top cover and the M70-pattern gas block; this example does not have a front sling loop, providing the traditional construction details associated with this model.
The 16.3-inch cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel offers durability and easy maintenance. It is threaded M14x1 LH, with a detent pin and exposed threads; no device is installed. A cleaning rod is mounted beneath the barrel.
Walnut furniture completes the classic profile: a lower handguard with three elongated cooling slots and a smooth upper handguard, and a fixed stock finished in dark walnut, paired with a ribbed steel buttplate and a rear sling swivel. The black rubberized finger-groove pistol grip with a medallion provides a secure hold. Length of pull is approximately 12.75 inches.
Sights include an adjustable hooded front post and a tangent rear leaf. The manual safety selector is marked SAFE/FIRE and incorporates a bolt-hold-open notch for ease of handling.
