Built in the USA during the 1990–1994 period, this TEC-DC9M is a pre-1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban configuration with a threaded muzzle and a ventilated barrel shroud. The included factory shroud threads directly to the muzzle, matching the model’s intended setup.
It operates as a semiautomatic, closed-bolt, straight-blowback pistol with a top-mounted reciprocating charging handle and right-side ejection port. Sighting is straightforward with a fixed blade front and fixed notch rear.
The pistol combines a polymer receiver and steel barrel with a polymer frame. The grip features molded Intratec IE logos, and a single rear sling bracket/lug is fitted for basic carry attachment. Markings observed include "INTRATEC MIAMI FL. 9MM LUGER MOD. TEC-DC9 PATENTS PENDING."
Key dimensions and capacity include a 3" steel barrel and a 30+1 capacity when using the 30-round magazine. The package is rounded out by the original Intratec case with a factory TEC-DC9M label that matches the pistol’s serial designation.
