The BOSS-25 uses a gas-operated, semi-automatic system and an AR-12 style layout, combining a right-side charging handle with a left-side safety lever and AR-type bolt catch and magazine release. It is magazine-fed with a 5-round capacity and is chambered for 3 in 12 gauge shells.
The 14.25 in steel barrel is shrouded by a cylindrical, ventilated barrel shroud at the muzzle. A slotted aluminum handguard provides rigidity while keeping weight balanced along the front end.
The receiver is metal with a Tactical Gray finish, paired with black polymer furniture for contrast. The fixed stock includes an adjustable cheek riser and a rubber buttpad, and the grip is a polymer pistol grip.
Mounting and sighting options include a Picatinny rail on top of the receiver plus a short top rail segment on the forward handguard (separated by a flat section), a short 6 o'clock accessory rail, and flip-up front and rear iron sights. The platform also includes a manual safety.
