The GSG-1911 Tactical follows the classic full-size 1911 format with a 5 inch Government-profile barrel and single-action-only, blowback operation tailored to .22 LR. Its alloy slide and frame keep weight to an approximate 34.4 oz empty, and the matte dark finish presents a uniform, low-glare appearance.
Sighting is built for adjustability and clarity: an adjustable square-notch rear pairs with an interchangeable-height front that is currently outfitted with a green fiber-optic insert. This setup lets the shooter fine-tune point of impact while maintaining a bright front aiming reference.
Control features mirror a modern 1911 layout, including an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with a memory pad, and a magazine safety. The skeletonized 3-hole trigger and skeletonized commander-style hammer complement the 1911 platform’s ergonomics. Checkered synthetic grip panels with smooth triangular reliefs around the screws offer a secure, serviceable hold.
A factory bolt-on 3-slot Picatinny-style accessory rail on the dust cover is secured to the frame for mounting compatible accessories. Markings include caliber designation ".22LR HV," German proof marks with "DE," a "MADE IN GERMANY" marking, and ATI Rochester NY import information.
