Made in USA, this Bobcat is a Beretta USA Corp. Accokeek production example with slide markings "MOD. 21A – 22 L.R. MADE IN U.S.A." and "BERETTA USA CORP., ACKK. MD." It carries the PB oval maker’s mark and retains its factory black checkered synthetic grips with Beretta trident medallions.
The fixed, tip-up barrel allows loading and unloading without racking the slide, a hallmark of the 21A design. Its simple blowback action paired with a DA/SA trigger and frame-mounted manual safety provides straightforward operation in a very compact package.
The 21A’s design omits an extractor by intent; during normal firing, the case is driven rearward by blowback and expelled when it strikes the pistol’s fixed ejector. The tip-up barrel is for manual loading/unloading or clearing a dud and is not part of the normal ejection cycle. The slide has rear serrations, and the sights are fixed open type, with a blade integral to the barrel up front and a fixed notch on the slide at the rear.
