The P226 ZEV SAO configuration pairs SIG Sauer's proven full-size platform with ZEV's distinctive slide work. The slide includes forward and rear cocking serrations, top serrations, and a lightening window near the muzzle, plus an optic cut. Factory markings include "P226 Z" on the slide, "ZEV" on the frame, and "9MM" on the slide plate.
The extended 4.9-inch barrel is threaded and finished with dimpled and fluted machining for a striking, functional profile. The action is single-action only with a short-recoil, locked-breech system, complemented by a straight trigger and ambidextrous manual thumb safeties.
The aluminum-alloy frame wears a durable hard-coat anodized finish and incorporates practical upgrades: a vertically serrated front strap for grip traction, a beveled magwell mouth to assist reloads, and an accessory rail on the dustcover for light or laser attachment.
Sighting equipment includes a fiber-optic front sight (orange) paired with a plain combat-style rear. The included SIG Sauer ROMEO1 PRO red-dot optic (red reticle) is installed, enabling immediate use with the optic-ready slide cut. Black textured G10 grips with a hexagonal pattern and a small molded/engraved ZEV slash logo complete the package.
