The Loaded Target series delivers classic 1911 function in a 9mm, full-size format. This pistol uses a Government-length 5-inch bushing barrel and a stainless slide and frame, with a 9+1 capacity in a single-stack configuration. It operates on a single-action, short-recoil system.
Feature highlights include front and rear cocking serrations, a lowered and flared ejection port, a long 3-hole aluminum trigger, and a skeletonized spur (delta) hammer with a serrated thumb pad and triangular lightening cut. Controls consist of a left-side thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. The mainspring housing is vertically serrated, and the magazine well is lightly beveled for easier reloads.
Sight configuration is set up for optics use: the dovetailed black front blade remains in place, and the rear sight has been removed to mount the screw-on optics adapter plate. The original rear sight is included separately, giving the buyer options for setup.
Markings include "S.A. 9MM" on the barrel hood, "MODEL 1911-A1 CAL 9MM" on the right side of the slide, and "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY" with crossed-cannons on the left. An NM-prefix serial is observed and is commonly discussed among collectors as indicating U.S. assembly at Springfield Armory's Geneseo facility. Country of origin is USA.
This example currently wears wraparound finger-groove rubber grips, with Springfield Armory checkered hardwood panels with laser-engraved cross‑cannon logo included if you prefer a traditional look and feel. The installed optic adapter plate provides a ready mounting interface in the rear sight position.
