What’s Included
- Original Hämmerli TAC R1 22 manual
- One 20-round factory .22 LR magazine (polymer body)
This TAC R1 22 C uses a dedicated semi-automatic blowback system tailored to .22 LR, providing AR-style ergonomics with rimfire operation. The right-side magazine release and manual safety follow the familiar AR control layout.
The 9-inch steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and fitted with a birdcage flash hider. A free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard (approximately 6.5 inches) with top lightening slots and a short Picatinny rail section at the front, together with the receiver’s Picatinny rail, provide mounting surfaces, while the included flip-up polymer sights offer immediate sighting capability.
Its aluminum upper and lower receivers retain AR-pattern features such as a port cover and brass deflector. The bolt locks open on an empty magazine; to close the bolt, use the charging handle. An AR-pistol end cap completes the compact configuration.
Markings and proofs underscore its origin: "MADE IN GERMANY BY UMAREX," "HAMMERLI ARMS FT. SMITH, AR.," and CIP proofs with the "DE 23" year code. The serial number is also stamped on the bolt body. Capacity is 20+1 rounds, overall length is approximately 17.8 inches, and weight is about 3.83 pounds, with a matte black finish on the receivers and most components, and a contrasting earth-tone (tan/OD) ejection port (dust) cover.
