What’s Included
- Owner's manual
- 1x 20-round steel detachable magazine
The AP-9 uses a simple blowback, closed-bolt action and feeds from a detachable magazine positioned ahead of the trigger guard. This forward magazine well supports its 20+1 capacity while maintaining a compact 5-inch standard barrel configuration.
The upper is a tubular metal assembly over a polymer lower, delivering the model’s recognizable two-tone appearance. Its ventilated cylindrical barrel shroud features elongated oval ports, with a right-side ejection port completing the upper’s functional layout.
Controls are straightforward and right-side oriented, including a charging handle and a thumb safety on the same side. The integral textured grip with finger grooves offers a secure hold on this full-size 9mm platform.
Sighting is fixed and practical: a hooded ring front post paired with a fixed rear notch. Manufactured in the United States and distributed by Kimel Industries, this example reflects the AP-9’s late-1980s to early-1990s production era.
