The Gen3 Glock 17 delivers proven 9mm performance with a full-size profile, 17+1 capacity, and Glock's striker-fired, short-recoil operating system. It features a left-side magazine release and Glock's integrated safeties: trigger safety, firing pin safety, and drop safety.
The 4.49 in steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged with polygonal rifling and a nitrocarburized treatment. The slide wears a matte nitrocarburized finish and uses rear serrations only for traction.
The black polymer frame includes Gen3 finger grooves, pebble-texture side panels, and checkering on the frontstrap and backstrap. A single-slot Glock accessory rail is integrated into the dust cover for compatible lights or accessories.
Sights are the factory fixed polymer set: a white-dot front post and a rear notch in a dovetail. Markings include MADE IN AUSTRIA GLOCK Ges.m.b.H. with an IAI Knoxville, TN import stamp. Overall length is approximately 8.03 in, and height is approximately 5.43 in.
