Built on the push-feed Model 70 action, this Coyote variant is configured for .22-250 Rem in a short-action format. It uses an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate and a five-round capacity. The bolt body is jeweled, and the action employs Winchester's three-position wing safety.
The 24" stainless steel barrel has a medium-heavy contour, a recessed crown, and a matte finish. It is threaded into a receiver that is drilled and tapped, and the rifle is produced without iron sights to suit scoped use.
The laminated hardwood stock features a wide beavertail forend for stability on bags, a pistol-grip profile, a rubber recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. The stock wears a brown laminated gloss finish that complements the two-tone configuration: a matte stainless barrel with a matte blued receiver and bottom metal.
Optics are ready to go with two-piece Weaver-style bases installed; a BSA Catseye 3-10x44 variable-power riflescope with rings (not mounted) is included and uses a duplex reticle. This setup provides a straightforward sight picture tailored to this rifle's varmint and predator role.
Made in the United States, this rifle includes the Winchester factory cardboard box with an end label dated 3-19-01 that matches the rifle, providing helpful provenance for the configuration and timeframe.
