This EMP Micro-Compact pairs a forged stainless slide with a forged aluminum-alloy frame for a durable two-tone package. The slide wears a matte stainless finish over a matte black anodized frame, with rear cocking serrations and no front serrations for a clean profile.
The 3-inch bushingless bull barrel uses a reverse plug and a ramped, fully supported chamber. The single-action-only system is complemented by an aluminum, lightened three-hole trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer for a crisp, familiar 1911 control layout.
Fixed tritium 3-dot sights are dovetailed front and rear, with the rear unit marked USA H3 20. A beavertail grip safety with a raised tail and a manual thumb safety provide positive, 1911-style safeties. The magazine well is slightly beveled to assist with reloads.
Details include wood double-diamond checkered grips with Springfield Armory medallions and factory markings throughout: the slide is marked SPRINGFIELD ARMORY with crossed-cannons, the barrel hood is marked S.A. 9MM, and the frame is marked SI GENESEO IL USA. The pistol uses EMP-specific single-stack 9mm magazines, and this example includes three 9-round steel mags.
