The ZPAP92 follows the classic AK pattern with a stamped and riveted receiver made of stamped sheet steel. It uses a long-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt, combining AK operating principles in a compact pistol format. The standard paddle-style magazine release and manual safety keep controls familiar and straightforward.
Its 10-inch barrel is paired with a conical booster-type muzzle device. The front post sight is integrated with the gas block in the M92 style, while the rear notch is located on the hinged top cover. The top cover also includes a short Picatinny rail section, and there is an additional short Picatinny rail at the rear of the receiver.
Wood M92-style two-piece handguards with elongated cooling slots provide a traditional look and assist with heat management. No front sling loop is installed. The stated capacity is 30+1, and this example includes a Korean-made 30-round steel magazine.
