This Chinese Norinco 56S-1 is a pre-1989 SILE N.Y., N.Y. import in its original configuration, built on a stamped receiver with magazine well dimples and a ribbed top cover. It features the correct Chinese underfolding steel stock with a right-side push-button lock and spoon buttplate, a 16.3" threaded barrel with a smooth cap retained by a spring detent, and clean, sharp rifling. Marked "MADE IN CHINA BY NORINCO" and "SILE N.Y., N.Y.," this Type 56-1 pattern rifle presents a desirable pre-ban configuration with authentic features.
Condition
Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.

Specific Condition Notes: There are scattered scratches and handling marks, with larger blemishes on the left side of the handguard. Small, infrequent spots of pitting are present in a few locations.
