The HD series steel frame anchors the 2011 platform, and this P4 uses a 4140 steel frame with a polymer grip module featuring aggressive texture. The single-action, hammer-fired system includes ambidextrous manual thumb safeties and an internal firing-pin block. The HD line deletes the traditional grip safety for a streamlined, duty-focused control layout.
The 4.0 inch stainless, bushingless bull barrel is built for durability and consistent lockup. Front and rear grasping serrations aid slide manipulation. The slide is cut for optics and fitted with a cover plate, and the HOST interface sets the plain black rear sight forward on the slide to clear mounting room while maintaining a usable iron sight picture.
Sighting is straightforward and fast thanks to the Trijicon front sight with a luminous green dot and the forward-positioned, plain black rear. A flat-faced, windowed trigger shoe provides a consistent, straight-back press.
Practical features round out the package: a 1913 four-slot accessory rail on the dustcover, an 18+1 factory capacity, and compatibility with Staccato 2011 double-stack steel magazines.
