The Custom LW pairs a Government-size 1911 format with a 9mm Luger chambering and an aluminum alloy frame. The result is a full-size pistol with 9+1 capacity that keeps traditional 1911 geometry while using a lighter frame material. The build uses a bushing barrel and a GI-style recoil spring plug in classic 1911 fashion.
The barrel is extended to 5.5 inches and threaded, combining a bushing setup with the added muzzle interface. This configuration retains the familiar 1911 lockup while providing the longer length and threaded muzzle noted in the specs.
The slide is optics-cut and fitted with a cover plate that doubles as the rear sight base. The cover plate is secured by four screws, and the fixed 3-dot sight picture is achieved with a single-dot front and a two-dot rear integral to the plate. Front and rear cocking serrations aid manipulation.
Controls and ergonomics include a single-action operation with a single-side thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with memory bump, a skeletonized three-hole trigger, and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. The mainspring housing is checkered, the front strap is smooth, and the pistol wears textured black grip panels. The frame is rollmarked TROY AL USA.
