This Colt Sporter Lightweight R6530 is a Blue Label, SL-prefix, pre-ban AR-15 from the 1991–1994 era. It features the lightweight 16" barrel, A2 carry-handle upper with forward assist and case deflector, and the hallmark Blue Label configuration with shaved bayonet lug, pinned sear block, and large front pivot. The gray anodized receivers, 1:7 twist, and correct barrel markings add collector interest and period correctness.

The R6530 Blue Label configuration aligns with pre-1994 production and includes features associated with that period: a shaved bayonet lug on the front sight base, a pinned-in sear block, and the large screw-type front pivot. The lower is marked .223, while the barrel is correctly marked for 5.56 NATO, consistent with factory practice on these models.
The 16" lightweight profile barrel uses a carbine-length gas system for a classic carbine setup. It has a 1:7 twist for modern 5.56mm projectiles, a birdcage flash suppressor, and a threaded muzzle. The barrel carries "C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7" markings.
The upper is a fixed carry-handle A2 pattern with a case deflector and forward assist. A2 iron sights include the front sight post and the rear sight in the carry handle. Gray anodized aluminum receivers and period-correct furniture complete the factory look.
Furniture includes round ribbed carbine handguards, a fixed light gray A2 stock with black trapdoor buttplate (13.5" LOP), and an A2 pistol grip. Sling attachment points are located under the front sight base and at the stock toe. The rifle operates via a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system with a manual safety selector.
