LWRC IC-Discovery 5.56 AR-15 — 16 in Spiral-Fluted NiCorr Barrel, Mono-Forged Upper, Ambidextrous Controls, Matte Grey
This LWRC IC-Discovery 5.56 is a recent-release, hybrid configuration pairing an IC-Discovery 5.56 direct-impingement upper with an LWRC M6 ambidextrous lower. It features a mono-forged one-piece upper with a continuous T-marked Picatinny rail, a 16-inch cold hammer forged, NiCorr-treated, spiral-fluted barrel with an A2 flash hider, and a matte grey finish. The model line was announced at SHOT Show 2023, and this example includes ambidextrous controls and a free-float handguard.

The IC-Discovery upper is a direct-impingement design and includes a forward assist, case deflector, and ejection-port cover. Its mono-forged, one-piece construction with a continuous T-marked Picatinny top rail and free-float handguard provides a rigid, uninterrupted mounting surface.
The 16-inch barrel is cold hammer forged, NiCorr treated, and spiral fluted. It is threaded and fitted with an A2 flash hider. These features are factory to the IC-Discovery upper and are paired here with the LWRC M6 ambidextrous lower.
The lower offers ambidextrous controls, including the magazine release and safety selector. An adjustable stock with a QD sling socket and a textured polymer pistol grip complete the handling package.
This rifle is finished in matte grey across the receivers and handguard. It ships with a 40-round and a 10-round magazine, and it is configured without sights, allowing the buyer to choose their preferred sighting solution.
Chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a listed capacity of 40+1, this AR-15–platform rifle is made in the USA and reflects LWRC’s IC-Discovery series introduced in 2023.
