The S5 Tactical SG-36 is a U.S.-manufactured, compact G36-pattern pistol built on a short-stroke gas piston system with a rugged polymer receiver. This example features an approximately 9-inch threaded barrel, an integrated carry-handle with a full-length Picatinny rail and built-in flip-up sights, and includes two 30-round G36-pattern translucent magazines.

Built in the United States, the SG-36 brings the proven G36-style architecture into a compact pistol format. Its short-stroke gas piston system and polymer receiver deliver a clean-running action in a lightweight platform sized around a 9-inch barrel.
An integrated carry-handle houses a full-length Picatinny rail and built-in flip-up backup sights, providing a continuous top rail while keeping sighting systems protected within the handle profile. The right-side ejection pattern maintains compatibility with the top-mounted charging handle.
Controls mirror the G36 layout, including an ambidextrous 0–1 pictogram selector, a front-of-trigger-guard paddle magazine catch, and the signature top-mounted charging handle. These features offer intuitive, bilateral operation without altering the receiver geometry.
The G36C-style polymer handguard includes a bottom accessory lug. The rear sling loop is molded into the receiver/hinge block, while the front attachment is a metal sling eye mounted at the front sight/gas block/handguard area.
The threaded muzzle is paired with a knurled barrel-nut/trunnion ring. The collar marked “.30/7.62” refers to the device itself and not the chambering, which is 5.56mm NATO. Receiver markings read “MADE IN U.S.A.” with Mesa, Arizona noted. The pistol accepts G36-pattern magazines with side-coupling lugs; capacity is 30+1, and two 30-round magazines are included.
