Built on an AR-10 pattern, the GEN-12 uses a proprietary upper, BCG, and detachable box magazine system with a 10+1 capacity. The 10.5 in barrel is 4130 steel with a nitride finish and capped by a cylindrical multi-port brake/comp with a crenellated crown. Billet 7075-T6 receivers and a 6061 aluminum free-float KeyMod handguard are finished in Type III hardcoat anodizing. A STANAG 1913 top rail runs the length of the upper receiver and continues as a partial section atop the handguard, with smooth flats toward the front.
Furniture includes an SB Tactical adjustable pistol brace and a textured polymer AR-pattern pistol grip. Chambers accept both 2.75 in and 3 in 12 gauge shells.
